Project 1, Final Design
Project 1, Final Design
Here is my final design for Project 1. I decided to add a color scheme to the design, picking colors from the photograph with the eyedropper tool to find an organic palette that builds on the image. I hope it works!

Hi David -
I really like what you've done with color in your design. There's a warmth in it, even though you've used a cool color, which I find very interesting. I think your navigation is very clear and strong and the overall design has a professional, yet personal feel to it. I also like how the TMCC logo looks like a tab - almost as if you lifted it you'd "open" the website. Nice detail.

This is a nice improvement from your previous design. The grayscale was nice and classy but also blended together too much. I love how you picked out colors from your photo for the design scheme. It looks classy and reminds me of like, Maine aesthetic. Which is not a bad thing. Nautical style is very cool. Plus, having your photograph in color brings more life to the image as a whole and your design. The text is very easy to read, good hierarchy, and the whole thing is very clean and sophisticated. Good job.

Your site is very well put together. I like the colors you used and how they combine. The text is easy to read. The scenery adds personality to the overall look of your site.

The new location of your name and info works a lot better. The script font used for your name is particularly nice, but I prefer the grey scale version perhaps with a splash of color from the American flag and a bit of color from your jacket to balance it out.

You did a nice job here. Taking the glare out of the flag and adding just a little color to the rest makes this a very comfortable and enjoyable design.

This layout is very pleasant on my eyes and I really love your choice of the typeface for your name. It's matching very successful to the body copy!
I also love the icons and the arrow at the bottom. There is nothing to change. Great job!

Really great job David. This is a very professional design and has a nice clean feel to it. I think your body copy is working much better without that rope behind it. Your color looks great as well. I wouldn't change anything. Good job!

I am glad you went with this design, it feels more personal to me. I really like it with the color scheme, it warms it up quite a bit. I like the placement of the tmcc logo, and what you've done with your navigation section.
