I like how its organized and i like your image but my one critique would be to fix the blur you have on the image if it makes the type too hard to read without it the id lower the opacity.

You have the makings of a decent layout here, but it just seems to need more.

I like the winter/fall photo collage background. It makes for a great canvas to do some interesting layout and design work on and promotes contrast with the content just by being so muted. Your colors work very well with the background. The medium blue helps keep everything cool and works extremely well with the black, gray, and white of the rest of it. I like the staggered buttons as well. They serve to move the eye from your title to the bodycopy very well.

Where it falls apart a bit is in typography and margin. The distressed font is not working well at all with your clean layout. I can't read the type in the buttons, it's all too close to the button background blue. I think the buttons could have been shrunk a bit while keeping the type the same size so they don't overlap, but maintain the interesting looking stair step pattern. I'm also not fond of the stretched center bodycopy. It looks out of place and squished. You also need to leave a little more room between the edge of the TMCC info and the box that surrounds it.

Nice effort though!

I like this color scheme, it feels very warm even though it is mostly a black and white photo. I like the font in your name, but your body copy font is a little hard to read. The navigation titles are also hard to read, but because they look transparent, darkening them would help. Good job combining both your designs into one!

Hello Ben!

I think the square shape buttons in you designs are interesting but the color of your font on is too hard to see! It's too close the main button color. I would change it to be a darker value so people would be able to read it.

I like that your layout is different and bold, however I think you hierarchy needs a bit more work. My eye gets stuck at the bottom of the page and it's difficult reading your body copy.

Hi, Ben. Great background photo and nice use of the geometric boxes cascading down your page, very unique. Good color choice - fits the mood of your black & white photo. Like the font a lot, it's edgy and makes a statement that fits well with your design. I might adjust the content on the lower left. Little smaller and more space within the blue box - looks crowded. Great job!
