I am glad you went with this design, the photo feels warm and organic. I like your blue color, but feel like it could still use a little contrast, maybe trying different text colors for a few of your elements would help. I think you could shrink the font size a little of " A little about me" and then you would have room to center your footer under your body copy. That title is kind of competing with your name right now anyhow since it is close to the same size. Overall great work though!

Hm. Got a kind of cold, haunting vibe going here. I like it!

I like the simple grayscale color scheme. It sets the bleak tone of the website right away. The picture of the old and somewhat bedraggled coniferous tree also helps instantly reinforce your theme. Your header is nicely arranged. The type is well chosen and works with the theme and color scheme (or lack of one). The navigation is large and easy to use. I like the use of different size type to show emphasis. In particular your name and headline looks really good.

The big issue with it is typographic. While your header and navigation looks very nice, the bodycopy and class info type at the bottom are a bit of a blob. It needs the bodycopy type shrunk by two points and double spacing between paragraphs. Also, the class info type should be a point or two smaller, standard width and centered in your design.

Nice effort!

This is a lovely layout, however as mentioned by other students you're running out of negative space at the bottom of your webpage. Other than that I think everything from your type color choice and photos work really well together. The site as a whole really gives off a personal essence.

Hi, Kami. Nice blend of the photo and the background. The subtle grey tone works perfectly with the trees. Great artistic feel overall. Like your font choice, it's clean and easy to read. I might want to work on the leading between your "body" content by leaving a little space between paragraphs, looks a little crowded. Great work!
