Project 1 Final
Re: Project 1 Final
This is a great design and layout. I like how you made the background of the body copy darker and the text white, it has more contrast and is easier to read. My only suggestion would be to make your name maybe bold, or maybe a whiter white. It looks greyer than your body copy and doesn't catch my eye as much as the white in your body.

Now this is just a really neat example of midcentury design. This is how websites would look if we had 'em in the 50's. Nice work Kaycee.
What really stands out to me about it is it's excellent use of contrast. The white type, however thin it might be, is easily read on your black background. The red color also serves to move the eye around your composition very well. I like the thin font you chose as well. It reinforces the midcentury feel of the whole thing, as does the black and white headshot. The pattern behind your bodycopy is also very 50's and keeps the theme going as well. Your navigation is large and easy to find/use. Even the large header works very well in a quasi-rule of three way.
Just a few typographic nitpicks. One, I would have dialed the background back about 5% lighter to make the bodycopy stand out a bit more. Two, the "R" in "Resources" in your navigation should be lowercase to match your project button. Three, your name needs to be scooted over to the left so that it's left edge aligns with the left edge of your class info.
Very nice!

Your site is adorable and sassy at the same time, work it girl! I love your color and pattern choice and your hierarchy is spot on. The only thing I would consider changing is putting a black contour around your portrait.

Hi, Kaycee. Strong color theme black & red - really pops. I like the use of your black & white photo it makes the design sophisticated. Good placement of elements, flows well. The only thing is making sure the content on your buttons float within your red bar, looks a little crowed and same for text on bottom right, you might want to float it a little to the left. Great work!
