Nice character in your first design! However, I feel like he's a little large and overpowers the rest of the website design.
In your second design I really like the picture you used, as well as the strong contrast between the dark blue background and the white text.
I think you should consider bringing in your text elements, particularly your 'about me' paragraph and your name, away from the edges and give the layout a bit of a side margin. You might also consider making your blue text box in your computer layout a little bit transparent, so it's not such an abrupt change from photo to text.

Hi Juan,
I like the imagery of your second layout, and think you're blue works well with it! The links could be a little larger or slightly closer together, the gaps are a little too big between lines and makes them look disconnected. I think the gradient being into a darker blue may look better, since the black is a bit heavy.

Hello Juan!

I like both of your designs. I think both have things that if you combine will turn out very well. For example the gradient background with the duck picture can be interesting look. You could play a little bit more with alignment and typeface. I do like your style simple but neat and organize. :)

Hello Juan,

Both your designs look pretty cool. I personally prefer the second one because it looks cleaner and more organized but with the graphic from the first one because it's just a more interesting photo. Nice job.

Hey Juan, I like how you included the duck as a dominating feature to your site, it adds some personality to it. I do very much like your second design, the way you spaced everything to allow the landscape background add a calming tone. Increase the text size for the body text so that the rest of that box can be used.
