Oh yeah! I'm all about that second design. It looks like a National Parks website. Nicely done, Rowena!

I really like the background image. It gives it a wide open desert spaces feel and works well with your logo. That "WELCOME" over the rising sun gives the whole thing a feeling of warm positivity, like the dawning of a new day. I like the blend between simplified and complex you have on this design. The logo is a great example of this. It's a wonderfully detailed leaf and branch drawing that uses only two colors. Great margins throughout this thing, too. Everything has room to breathe without becoming fragmented. I like the transition between simple and complex too. Your content area looks a bit like a sign on the side of the road. Great typography choices too. everything works well together here. Your navigation is easy to see and use. I especially like the way it rises up out of the sun on you mobile layout. Good use of color too. Everything ties into your desert southwest theme and reinforces the layout and imagery.

Watch the margin on your TMCC logo on the mobile layout. It gets a little tight there. But that's literally all I found that I can pick at.

Great work!

Hello Rowena,

I absolutely enjoy your designs. They remind me of the warm colors of some Hispanic (I think specifically Mexcian) pottery. The colors are warm but not does give too much energy; they give a very welcoming feeling when entering your website. It is not easy to which one I like the most, they both have very great ideas going for them. Choose what you like best. With your second web page version, I think the buttons are a little hard to read, probably of how thin the weight is or because of the backdrop panels.

Hello Rowena,
I love these designs! The second one is my favorite. I really like how the image has your design elements in it and how the colors you chose tie in the sunset of the picture. The fonts go great together. The whole design reminds me of a canyon vibe. The only thing I would change is the orangish circle's shape at the bottom of the screen because to me it looks a bit out of place. However, this looks fantastic, and I am looking forward to seeing your final piece! :D

Hi Rowena,
Awesome designs! I'm loving your second design the most though. I love how you added the sun to the photograph because it ties everything really nicely. The colors are also really calming and professional. I would just maybe increase the size of your personal paragraph just a little bit, but other than that it looks really great. Excited to see your final website!

Hey Rowena,

I love your second design, imagery, and your objects under your text it flows extremely nicely. The colors work great with the imagery and I like the white text. Maybe your welcome text can be a different color or different typeface, it is a little hard to read, maybe it can be bigger? Great job!!

Hi Rowena!

Both of these designs are very strong and the layouts make it easy to maneuver if it was an actual website. The color palette is very soothing and warm which relates to your pictures. Both designs could work for what you are trying to do. I also like how both designs have circles and they are similar but different! :D

Hi Rowena,

Your roughs look so good! I especially enjoy how you used warm colors for both of the sets and that by doing so they provide a great sense of "comfort" when going through your website. Out of the two, I find your second concept the best since it seems more filled up compositional wise and energetic. P.s. I just love how you laid out everything in the mobile version. Overall, great job!
