Hi Megan!
I really like your first concept it looks so cool and i didn't see anyone else do something like that with their images. If i were to do something different to it i would probably put the navigation buttons on the top for the mobile version. I really love the layout of the desktop version though!

Hello Megan,
Interesting designs you have here love the scenic photo choice you have here. Your first design might be too much for me with the multiple views. Though the text on screen looks nice. I think your second design is more my speed but the font choice doesn't match the vibe i suspected. The designs are both very cool. I recommend going with design two.

Hi Megan

Both of your designs are a great start, I favor the first one mostly because of the layout. the white text boxes that you have on your second design are nice they feel they could be just a little less faded so they're a bit easier to read. the reason why I like your first design is that it has an interesting layout, I do like the circle pictures but just think they take a lot of the room especially in your mobile design maybe you could shorten it down to two on the page?

Hi Megan! I like both of your designs but I think I like the second design more because it is simpler. My critique would be to move the body copy to the center so that it isn't fighting with the background as much and adjust the boxes on the right to be all the same size. Nice Start!

Hi Megan!

Loving the local, Reno/Tahoe scenic beauty of these! Great start with both of these layouts!

Personally, I am drawn to your second layout more because of the Tahoe background and the simplicity, clean look of the placement of things. The first layout is really fun and engaging with the circles (and it's winning in your poll!) but I feel those image bubbles tend to be distracting on the homepage homepage unless those extra images pertain to your work as a designer and/or what the purpose of your website is for. With the first set I just feel the one background image of Tahoe (or where you live) can work for any type of website as a background can generally be anything, related or subliminally related where as the bubbles are almost like purposeful call outs which, personally, I would think would be something more purposeful/direct and important to draw attention to those (if that makes sense). Navigationally though, I think both are very well thought out. I honestly don't think you could go wrong with either option so long as you fill those bubble frames with something more specific about you or in this case, your work as a designer rather than more pictures of where you live.

Really fun ideas and a great foundation to build on - looking forward to see what you do with these! :)

Hello,
I really like how the first design looks compositionally in the mobile format but I'm not sure about the desktop format. I think maybe if they were all the same size it would look a little better it almost looks like you are trying to create some sort of hierarchy with them. I like the type you used in the first layout as well, I think that and the color choices and the composition of the mobile are all working on that!
For the second one I like the imagery and overall layout you created but I don't love the type you chose in this design I think maybe that first one would be my pick of the two!
Good Job!

Hey Megan!

I personally like the second design better, simply because it's so pretty and cool to look at. The first one is cool too but it's a lot and a bit close to each other. But your second one is perfect! There's room and space for your design and image to breathe. It's just a good way to use space and still make all the information stand out. I would maybe change the color or opacity of the boxes but that's it like it's so organized and easy on the eye. Your name stands out beautifully and I think that's important on your website. Overall both are amazing and really cool!
