Hi Elle!
Nice work - really fun layout designs here. Instantly, I got Tahoe mountain vibes but with pops of design and fun which is totally the culture of being a TMCC design student living near Tahoe and the mountains haha.
I really like what you did with the revised desktop version you posted in the thread per the critique - definitely the right call to change up the font and background colors where the the company name to the top (followed by your name) and your navigation on the left just pops so much more now with those buttons and vibrant blues against the deeper "Tahoe" blue/.
Definitely carry on those same changes to your mobile version (but tweak or condense accordingly per the skinny screen space of mobile).
You have excellent start here and everything from your image and color choice exudes energy and that is a great foundation to keep building off of.

Hello Elle,
I think you are on a good start! For me, the first design seems a bit better and easy to understand than the second, and I like the typeface of the header. If I were to say any change I would maybe find a different font for the name instead of the script font or just a more clean script would look nice. Good job!

Hey Elle,
Great concepts! I really enjoy how the cool blues in the website's color scheme matches the photo you chose, it really generates a chilly/wintery vibe that seems fun and creative! However, I think that the whole design could be improved more with some balance incorporated, such as fixing up the alignment of a few small elements. For example, the majority of your text is positioned from left-to-right, but all of sudden your body paragraph is the opposite--it is a bit jarring to see and interrupts the flow of your entire layout (so, I recommend flipping it back to the other direction); additionally, I think you could also adjust the alignment for the text on the footer as well to be more centered. Another recommendation would be to stick to 2-3 fonts so it will help establish hierarchy within the information on screen and will help keep the design nice and consistent. But overall, I think that you are onto a great start because I can envision how it is meant to function successfully through the structure you had developed in your roughs, and I can't wait to see how it looks for the final submission!

Good evening, Elle
The mobile version has a very nice sort of winter feel to it without seeming too cold, and it has more cohesion to it than the desktop version of the layout. I think the desktop version could use some of the mobile layout's cohesion. And by that I mean unifying the two so that the same colors and typefaces are used for the same things in both designs. I'm also not sure about the oval navigation buttons. If you wanted to stay away from square shapes maybe round off the corners? The last thing I want to point out is that on the mobile version the pink text saying "Spring 2022" where it sits on top of the green background vibrates so hard it kind of hurts my eyes.

Hey Elle!
I really like the color scheme you got going on! It's cool and blue! It makes it all cohesive and fun at the same time. I also love the gradient, it adds a touch of fun to it. I think you can work on the organization and make things a bit cleaner but overall I think it's really fun! I also like how your name is at the top of the mountain. That's the first thing my eyes look at and I think it's really cool and funny!

Thank you for your critique... I just have to say though, it looks gorgeous as Tahoe, but this pic is at Mt Hood, Oregon, the volcano just south of Mt. St. Helens. That's the top of Hood behind her, and a string of people hiking up to it are like grains of pepper in the distance. You can zoom in behind her in both pictures and see about ten tiny specks of people.
I wish she lived here! She moved up there a few years ago, loves the natural beauty of it. This hike was two weekends ago. :- )

Definitely Lake Tahoe, good for ski goers. Iād touch the photo a bit under PS to match the colors of the design.
Mount Hood, Oregon. :- )
I wish she lived down here!
