GRC 175 Learning and Discussion Forum

I like the composition as a whole, it's solid content, clean layout, and a direct message. I also really like the abstract background that balances the design. I think it represents a well thought out template for future site. The only thing I would work with is that the headshot image is carrying the load for the whole right side of the composition when it comes to the balance, I wonder if sliding the body copy or enlarging it may help with that? Looks good otherwise, good luck.

I really love this!! The shapes, colors, layout is all so fun and cute this is totally the type of thing i love to see. I think you did so good!

I really like the color choices you selected, but I do think they are very bright and need something to sort of ease the tension on the eyes whilst looking at your page. maybe a shape behind some of your white texts could make certain elements stand out more than others.

This might be my favorite design out of all. Your color choice is what seals the deal. Your design gives off lava lamp which Is super rad. Your font choice is very complimentary to your design. The body could have a bit more interesting font though. Also for web I think it could be a hair larger. Great job on your Designs.

I really like the changes you made, Olivia. This looks really good, and it's very clear what this is: a website about a young person doing her thing. I really want to see this rapier now, too, so I hope you get a photo in there of you doing some fencing move with it! Or maybe just a close-up of the hilt with your gloved hand in it--a purple glove, of course (let me know, I DO have that shade of purple gloves--elbow length, shirred cotton, but, it could pass for suede in a pic). It turned out really nice, your design in both versions... I do prefer the greater intensity of color in the mobile version, kind of a gradient going on there, it really draws the eye to your name, very crisp edges that way, and it looks so nice in upper and lower case. (The GRC line is a touch too close to the bottom edge in the PC version, and, good habit to spell-check your copy for misspellings and grammar.) Really nice work. :- )
