The first design is my favorite and I think the font you chose for your name works well with the background image and the layout. Making the font size a little smaller might help make some space for the other elements such as your projects section and portfolio. Also, changing the opacity of the image in the background will help to stand out your name and body copy more! I like the theme you're going and I cant wait to see your final work! Good luck:)
