I really like both of your designs! I think I am leaning towards the first one because you chose a strong image to go alongside the home page. The hierarchy works well too. My only advice is to consider adding in a highlight color to really make things shine. Great stuff regardless.

Great choice of website to re-design! I like the white and blue design best, personally. I can't see anything I would change, well done!
