This is so awesome, I wouldn't change a thing. Its very different from everything else that I've seen.
loving the background! but is it just me or is it kinda bitmapped? I also like how you positioned your content box and those boxes behind your photograph remind me of stained glass. very nice! The transparent buttons were also a good touch so it's not covering the bg anymore. Good work!
My only suggestions are checking on your color harmony and reconsidering your type choice to help with legibility but other than that, your layout looks good!
