Ooof. A very nice splatter punk-y home page. Loose the center box and highlight your type with another splatter and it's just about perfect. Great work there!
A pity you had to take a step back on your Project Two, though. I understand not being comfortable with building the design you had, but it was quite good. What you built was ... plan. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice layout that's easy to navigate and presents it's information in an a breezy way that's easy to uptake. It just seems so slapdash.
I especially like the nice clean layout on the About Us page, which is the best looking page on the site. I love the typographic hierarchy and the way the colors work together. We lose that when we get to the homepage with the three colors of type and the weird indenting. More like the About Us and Contact Us please.
Also, that background ... yeah, no. It looks like a kids pizza themed jammies.
I see the structure of a good website here, but it needs more fleshing out. Disappointing.
Next time allow yourself a little more time to build your pages. I expect better from you, young lady.

Re: project two final critique
Hi Ashley,
Great job finishing on time!
I know that was my problem trying to decide if I should turn it in on time
and it be "ok" or try to get my designs done and turn it in late...
Needless to say my designs were late!
I have the same problem with time.
It sucks because as artist/designers it makes us look bad even though we are awesome!
Now I know why Dali was obsessed with clocks and time!
Time and clocks are driving me crazy!!! anyway... LOL
I think considering what we had to do for the project your website is up and works!
I really like your portfolio banner with your name.
Very stylish and i like the textured look.
For the project 2 redesign site I really like the background idea but it is kind of "chuck-e" cheese looking.
I would work on adding more "meat" for the site like photos or text or more patterns.
It looks like a great start but we know your "final work" should look more finished.
Cant wait to see what you do!
Nice Job!

Hey Ashley, This looks awesome. i love the colors and textures you used in your home page. Your redone site looks awesome as well. The pizza pattern in the background is great. It adds a fun and playful element to the site.

Hey Ashley,
Even if you did cheat a little by using Slice in Photoshop, your personal site still looks great and well put-together. The overall design gives off a whimsical feel, which greatly contrasts the BOLD and COLORFUL palette you use in your revamp design. Which considering we're advertising a pizza place, is a good thing. It's clean and easy to navigate, but it still gives off a bit of an empty feel. It might help if you put some of the menu contents on the website itself rather than a JPG. Regardless, it all still looks great and good job bringing it all together.
