Hey Jody!

Wow! I love your final design! I think I said this during preliminary critique but I absolutely adore those illustrations! The color scheme works really well to. Your website looks super professional. Amazing work!

This final looks great! I'm glad to see you sort of combined the ideas from your previous critique to make something very strong and eye catching. Love the layout and the color scheme and fonts chosen. I still kind of wish some of your icons weren't as distracting, but that's alright. Everything else is quite lovely. Good job.

Hi Jodi!
Fabulous design! I really like where you have taken your original rough. Colors, typography, layout - everything works so well together. You've managed to create a clean, professional, personal and fun site which is exactly what I'd be looking for in a good designer. I'm inspired!

Now this is one heck of a professional looking layout, Jodi. One of the best website layouts I've seen in all my GRC 175 classes.

Just about everything in this design works perfectly. I love the standard color scheme. The black, gray, yellow, and white work excellently together. I also really like the use of contrast. Dark gray and light gray create a bit more subtle contrast that works nonetheless. The typography is also excellent. I like the bold title/logo at the top and how that echoes through the large, easy to use navigation. I even like the double spaced bodycopy. Also, this design uses margin almost perfectly; nothing feels too crowded or too spaced out. A great use of proximity to create unity.

My only real issue is that I think you used a couple too many colors on your navigation. You've got a scheme of yellow, gray, white, and, black going on in the rest of the site and then you introduce green, blue, and orange in the navigation. To my eye that clashes and creates disharmony.

Otherwise excellent work! It really looks great.

Your color and typography is everything! It really shows that you are polished and experienced in graphic design. Your hierarchy is beautiful and I love that you matte grey background makes the eye flow and the information pop. The only thing I would work on is the photo you posted. I just feel like it doesn't tie in well. Maybe lower the saturation and opacity in photoshop and make it a roll over bottom to full saturation and opacity when hovering the mouse over the image.
