Hey everyone, my name is Kaycee and these are my remodeled websites. I chose to do Truckee Bagel Company and by looking at the website I'm sure you'll see why...
http://www.truckeebagelcompany.com
I looked at a couple competitors web pages such as Einstein Bagels and decided i wanted a cozy but modern kind of feel. Let me know what you think!

Hi Kaycee!
I LOVE BOTH!! They both are much better than the one they have! I love how clean, organized, and professional both of yours looks. So unfortunately I can't say to go with a specific one. I would only suggest to maybe get rid of the line underneath "menu" on both layouts since you don't have them on the home page. Other than that, great job on both Kaycee! (Sorry I'm not much help lol)

Hi Kaycee,
I typed this out already but it didn't post. Womp womp.
Okay, so I think both layouts have really good qualities. I think if you combined the first layout's background image of the store with the color scheme and layout of the second layout, it would look really good. The brick background is a nice touch but doesn't exactly scream "bakery" to me. I like your font choices and all the text on all the layouts are easy to read. I think I like the menu layout with the color photo in the background, but that might be too busy if you use the photograph as the background. So perhaps combining the photographic background with the brown-tinted menu and the brown tones would be nice and inviting.
All in all, it's up to you for what feeling you want to inspire with the design. The top one is very chic, but the bottom one is very inviting. I guess it depends on how you think the business should present itself.
Good job!

Hi Kaycee - Yowza! I love Truckee Bagel but good thing I tried their bagels before I saw their website because it's pretty atrocious! I hope you're going to sell them one of your designs becuase it would be a big improvement. Great job on both designs, BTW. I'm leaning a bit toward the first design - with the black, even though I understand your desire for warm colors. I think the black is rich and working well with their logo giving a unifed feel to their brand. The background of their store is perfect and your strong use of their tagline is catchy. Although I like the brick in your second design, and it makes me think of brick ovens, I don't think there's enough contrast between the value of the brick background and the container.

While both designs are pleasant, your first layout is working better for me because the type is easier to read. If you adjusted the type of the second layout I'd prefer that one because the pictures of food are bigger.

They're both great designs but the first one has a better contrasts that brings out the text for the pages, unlike the second one is a bit to bright. I also like the font selection that compliments the environment of the Truckee area. I'd consider taking the second website's brick background and apply it to the first website's front page.

Wow! Nicely done. You've got two very professional designs here. They're a little similar, but I see where you were going with each. And oooooh, this gives me the opportunity to be "that guy" again. Here goes ....
I like elements from both your designs and think they should be combined.
Bam! There it is.
Your first design uses contrast so well I think you should use those colors in your final design. It does such an excellent job of framing the content too. Snag the type from the fist one while you're at it. It's got a sense of whimsy and urbanity that works very well with it's subject matter. Take the home page content layout from your second design. Pictures talk on websites and that has several large pictures/buttons to make people salivate/click. I even like the slogan in the upper right corner of the collage. I like the multiple photo backgrounds of your second design. I think it might be fun to introduce that idea too and have each page have it's own photo background. Your logo and layout will take care of the page to page commonality.
Excellent work, Kaycee! I want to see this one online. But now I want a bagel for some reason.

Both designs are well done. The second one is the one I like the most. The fonts are easy to read and the colors work well together.

I like both of your designs, but I prefer the brick wall one I think. I like the font on your first design better though, I'd use that font for whichever you do. I do think you've created more warmth with the second design. The color of your header and footer against the brick seems to blend too much, I may try a different shade just to give it some more contrast. Great job!

Haha Yeah the design of website is really unique!
I like the first design but like the typeface of the title on the third and last one more.
And also "Get them while they're hot" logo on third one looks more solid so you can mix them to make better one!
