Hello Courtney. Welcome to web design insanity. Being able to build your own website and manage your own online presence is quite a feather in the cap of an artist. Also it never hurts to know a bit of graphic design so you can freelance to keep the ol' wheel barrow full. Graphic design will make sure none of us become starving artists at any rate.
