Project 1 Final Design

I decided to pick the first design. I moved the cloud over to the left so it isn't behind the white letters so this fixed the issue with the contrast. I turned the contrast down inside the white box so the bodycopy is easier to see and evened out the spacing of the type within the box. I gave the nav bar a little breathing room at the top by moving the type away from the outer edge and spaced them out more evenly. I also moved the "fall 2017" up so its not butting up against the white box.

I really like how the shape in the center turns the photo to black and white in this one. It took me awhile to notice it at first as the rest of the photo is a dull/dark set of colors with a sunset scene so it wouldn't be outright noticeable. Only think I don't care for is that the major headline should be you since this is a site about your work in GRC 175, and not about the class it self, least I believe so.

I like the over all compistion of the website it is nice and simple but there is still alot of empty space that seems like it should be uses just a little bit more.

The changes you have made definitely make the overall layout stronger.
The headline is now very easy to read and promotes hierarchy throughout
the layout. Good job. I do agree with some of the other comments though.
If you switch the headline with your name, the website may look more like
your personal one!
Overall, nicely done.

Love your image. Beautiful colors. I like your typeface choices too. Only thing I would change is how prominent the GRC 175 class info is. I would put more emphasis on you and your info. That is the only thing I would change. Cool home page!

Moving the background really did fix that contrast issue. Good job! The body copy is also easier to read. A few changes I would like to see -- bring Fall 2017 on the same line and Web Design and Publishing to make it one line; make the TMCC logo less dominant.

Great design!! My favorite part is the script font. Good idea adding a B&W box to show the text against your serene photo

Oh nice! You went with the Pyramid one.
Good work on that shifted sky. The cloud now highlights your page title and moves the eye into it. Nice work on tweaking your margins. Now they're just about perfect. I especially like the relationship between your content and the container box in the middle. I also like how it's a reverse photographers trick. A lot of people do a black and white outside and a color inside, but you reversed it and it really creates an interesting visual dynamic. Once the eye has read your text, it's encouraged to step out of the box and see the world. Cool!
I can't really find anything that needs improvement. It was already a great design and you fixed all the problems with it on this pass.
Great work!

Hello,
The design is looking good! The textures in the image are interesting. The GRC175 title is large and dominating the page. Also a typo in the body copy on "illustrator". The page looks sharp and the alignment is spot on!
