Project 1 Preliminary

Hello everyone,

For my two designs I wanted one to be modular and one to be more abstract. I also wanted to choose colors that I felt reflect my personality.

My two inspirational websites are from a local design agency and an overseas graphic artist. I love the bright colors and simple Instagram like layout of Malika Favre's website but I also love how dynamic the Laxalt & McIver website is and how it is built around showing off what they can do and what their projects mean.

My two informational sites have to do with grids and page layout. I love the structures of different grids and how using them as an underlying part of my designs helps create structure and order throughout the project.

Hi Ryan,

There is a really fun sense of movement in the layout with the dots. I also like your logo.
The no-dots layout feels a bit bland. That is, however, stated without knowing what images would go into your wire-framed rectangles. With the right images in those places, the composition could end up working just fine.

Hello,
I’m in agreement i love the dots in the second layout. It gives it a fun feel to your page. The first one in a bit bland and basic. But both are user friendly.
Great job

Hi Ryan,
I think your second design is the strongest. The first one seems generic. I like how in the second design there is movement and fun colors to direct the eye. The only thing I would change is the sizing of the headline and text on the second design. There's almost too much negative space on the computer design, but the mobile one looks good. Super cool though!

Hi Ryan,
Your designs are unique. I think the second set is working visually better for me because it is more interesting to look at. I would just focus more on your spacing on your paragraphs and make sure its easier for viewers to read. Your logo is awesome, too!

Hey Ryan great work with both designs! I'm going to have to agree with the others and say the design with the dots is a lot stronger. There's enough visual appeal to keep you invested but keeps it simple and to the point. The logo really brings it together and looks really nice in that red circle. Honestly, there's not much I think that needs to change in that design. Just make sure you get everything you need in the there. It looks like you missed the GRC 175 Web Design... stuff. Overall really well-done design!

Hi Ryan,

I like the second layout more. It has the most appealing layout with the second design. The first one is not as exciting and I could consider the second layout because it works for scrolling and user interaction. Thank yo  u for sharing your creative works for us the critique.

Hi Ryan, I really like both of your rough layouts but I really like the second one's design. The fun circle design on the right with the rest of the page is really pleasing to look at and makes it unique.

Howdy there Ryan!

Both designs are looking great, but my attention is being caught on your second design! The colors are very aesthetic and I like the way you arranged the layout of the design! Everything looks professional so I don't have much too say! Keep up the good work!
