Project 1 final critique

Post by smartinez33 »

Hi everyone, thank you for all the critique of my layouts. I choose the fall but I did change a few things in the layout. I change all the fonts for both layouts, move different navigations buttons on the mobile layout. Also, I add a drop shadow for each box, move GRC 175 Web Design and Publishing I in the bottom of the screen to have enough room for text on the top page. Instead of using the green TMCC logo I use a white logo instead.

this information helps a lot to improve my final layouts.

Hey Smartinez33,

I am so in awe of your layout. The colors are soothing with the gradient, making a 3d vibe with the leaves. I can't wait for these to get interactive. Super happy to see your designs.

I love how this turned out! You have nice vibrant colors which catches the audiences attention but has contrast to balance it out. I like the mixture of typefaces you have going on. Perfect design for the season. Great work!

Hi Sandra,

These look so nice! I like your font choices and the contrasting fonts in your headline work really well together. Adding drop shadows to all the boxes really gave them a 3-D feel that makes them stand out. Very nice job!

Hi Sandra!
I love fall and it makes me very happy to see fall themes! The colors are my favorite. I also like that you added a little shadow on the TMCC logo & text, I think that really helps make it more readable on the leaves background.

Nicely done, Sandra. I like what I see.

One little detail I noticed on this pass that I don't think I got in the preliminary critique is your use of fonts to frame your content. Using the same font in your header and footer really establishes them as great strong framing devices. It's of a piece with the rest of the rather good typography on display here. Your background image/gradient is still doing a magnificent job of providing visual interest and establishing your fall color scheme. A very seasonable appropriate website. It looks like you've pulled your excess transparent boxes. Good, that really opened up your layout. Your alignments have really improved too. Gives the whole thing a more organized look.

I think your type is still a little tight to the left and right margins of your bodycopy box. I think your photo's a little close to your bodycopy box on your mobile design; I like the spacing much better on your computer design.

Nice work!
