Project 1 Final

Post by mack_schneider »

Thank you for the feedback! I went with the second design; I'm hoping it will be fun and easier to make as an actual homepage!

HI,
Really a mellow layout and to the point that you do design. Great animation. Maybe bring up the saturation slightly to create visual stimulation of the layout colors with the text. Idk. It sounded good when I was thinking about ideas of the layout. I wish you the best. Thanks for sharing your creative layout design.

Hi Mackenzie,

These look great! I love the unexpected color combo and all the playful dots to go with your illustration. The fonts go well with the playful feel too. Fantastic job!

Nice! You picked a good one here, Mackenzie. Cartoon You is still being sassy, I see. And your colors and contrast are still working well together. And your circles are still making a great pattern. That transparency remains a nice touch, as well. I'm glad to see you fixed your buttons. That was the only problem I really had with the preliminary iteration of your design. I like that the button's dot enlarges to indicate what page you're on. That's a nice little detail I didn't catch in preliminary critique.

I see why you went with the multi-line links on your preliminary version of this design. I don't care for the links breaking out of the circle either. If you run into something like this in the future, I'd recommend using the website/article titles for the clickable link text.

Good work!

Mackenzie,

I love your self-portrait graphic! I really enjoy the layout you came up with. I think the colors are very mellow/soothing and I think all the pleasant little circles floating around adds to that. I especially like the gradient you created with the colors for your nav bar buttons. This use of color definitely brings my eye down and through all of them.
Cool style and cool layout!

Howdy Mackenzie,

Your center drawing is awesome, and is a great center point to the layout. I love the little schnauzer's expression!
