Project 01 Final Critique

I chose to go with the light purple color scheme because most people chose that one, and I think it represents myself better.
I read that dark colored websites get more traffic, so I tried to make the purple shade darker pastel tones.
I made my hierarchy go from my heading to my body text and then to the navigation. I wanted the colors to separate them.
I tried to make everything look like it has it's place I know before my roughs looked like everything was squished.
I decided to add a colored illustration because it makes it look more interesting overall.

Interesting layout, Adrianna!
I like the colors that you chose for your website. I find it interesting that you put your menu bar around the bottom of your website! Although it's rare to see someone do that, I think it is working well! Great job!!

Hi Adriannageo,
I like the tone of the lavender background. The gradients make for a polished look that a user, like me, would scroll over to make a selection. I would say a bit whimsical with the images and font styles used. Great to see your creativity represented on the digital forum of the world wide web.

Hi Adrianna,
I still want to adopt that bunny. So cute! I do think it's a little unfortunate that we lose so much of the flower in the mobile version. Your big hello in a fun script font is so welcoming, as are the colors. Nice job!

Oh wow, these have come a long way from your preliminaries, Adrianna. Nicely done.
The cartoon bunny is too adorable and immediately establishes the cute flavor of what you're trying to do here. The purples and whites work well together, creating a soft, feminine feel to the design. I also like your "tween's diary" font you used for the name. Great theme reinforcement there. Breaking the type out of the container was a great choice as well. It adds extra visual interest to your composition and keeps it from getting too formal. Your navigation is easy to find and use and acts as a great separator from your content area and your footer. I like the rounded rectangle content container too. The gradient makes it look like it has a glow behind it and serves to soften the whole thing even further.
I think you should have kept your bodycopy white on your mobile version as well. That would have made it easier to read. The whole "Contact me at ..." text should have been white as well. That way you wouldn't have had to put the glow behind it. The drop shadow on your class info at the bottom is a little far away from the text and logo.
Nice work!

Hi Adrianna,
I'm so glad you kept the bunny, I think its a really charming drawing to use! On mobile, I think it would be nice if the bunny was on the right instead of left of the title, so it doesn't have its flower cut off. I really like your color choices! They're very calm and give a spring like feeling.
