Hi, I'm Brandon a quiet, laid back guy who likes to design. From print to animation, and now being in GRC 175 web is another thing I can add to my toolbelt. I took all the suggestions people put in the critique and played around with the gradients and glows to reach my final design. I wanted to keep it simple clean and straight forward. For my helpful websites, one was helpful hints for designing that I found really helpful. the other one was an inspirational website showing examples of clean creative sites.

Love the gradient that you used for your background, Brandon!
I think your layout is very clean and the colors you chose are very calm. I like the way you played with the opacity of the menu and the way you overlay the menu on the image. Great job!

I really like how this turned out! The colors compliment each other and the design elements look great. Very nice typefaces and imagery you have going on. Great work!

Hi Brandon,
Your layouts look really clean and professional! I like how the "glows" behind some of your elements give it a little bit of a 3-dimensional feel. Very nice.

Hm. The yellow works really well in your background gradient, Brandon. It makes a simple gradient look like a blurry photograph. I also like the little glow and detail textures you have added throughout. They all add some extra visual interest. Your colors are soft but they are far enough apart to contrast well. You use white type only when you need to and you do it well. Good organization as well. You fixed all the baseline, spacing, and alignment issues from your rough. Looks good to me. A great example of it is that nice left edge on your computer layout. I like your sketch drawing too. It looks like something out of one of those "Draw My Life" videos.
I don't know how much you needed the box behind your type. If something like that is necessary, I wonder whether it would have looked better as a transparent dark blue like your navigation.
Nice work!

Hi Brandon, your background looks really good! I think the colors work well with each other and I like that you used a gradient. I would say that the outer glow affect on the top text is a little too much I don't think it's necessary- unless that's just how my eyes are seeing it, sorry if that's the case! The white box seems to be sticking out too much I think, I think if it were an off white color it could work better.

Great job on the final design! Lowering the opacity on the navigation bar was a nice touch!

Hi Brandon!
I like your diamond frame for the photo and the gradient! Where the yellow meets the blue in the gradient sort of looks grayish to me, maybe there could be a greenish shade in between the yellow and blue to help transition the gradient without losing the bright color?
