GRC 175 Learning and Discussion Forum

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if we are supposed to post our website link on the forum, but here it is!

My biggest issue is that it becomes squashed or too wide on different monitors... I don't know how to fix that. Sometimes you have to zoom out to 75% on the webpage so the viewer can see everything.

I think all of our sites are doing weird things depending on screen size. You did a great job in coding your design! It feels very cheerful with the happy yellow and the adorable character, and the layout is spacious and clean. Very well done!

I think we all are running into that issue with the screen size messing with everything. Overall your design came out great! Viewing from a laptop it tends to break when I scroll around. With time though you will be able to fix it. Great job!

As with your Project Once version of this thing, you use contrast and color very well. The colors are working just as well in a browser as they did on a preview image. Everything is easy to see and read, especially the body copy against the blue. Kitty also brings a smile to my face. Your navigation is easy to see and fairly massive. Your simple, clean, text choices meant you didn't have to monkey around with inserting fonts via CSS.

Something seems to be occluding your navigation on my test browser. I can't hover over or click on your buttons and am getting no sign that they are links. Also, as you mentioned, it get's pretty cramped on lower resolution devices.

Love the layout and your images are fun. The fonts would be a fun option to change up. Keeping it simple doesn't hurt. It works with the clean layout you have.

Hello Katelyn, despite the screen size, I do like the look of your website, it's very cute and I like how you kept the colors of you text consistent with the colors of your background image. I am a big fan of sans-serif so your type is a big plus for me. Great job on your website!
