My name is Michael and I am a current TMCC student aiming for my A.A. Degree in GRC.

My designs solve the project by following guideline rules, all components and mixing it up for a stylish new look.

I designed my layouts the way I did to make them fun and enjoyable, professional and exuberant. Color and Design with shapes to add a splash of excellence.

My websites have been found educational on the food pyramid, to always remember to eat a healthy meal daily. They’re very helpful for knowing how a link can send you to the proper home page or search bar location.

Hi Michael, these are great, they are very unique and different and the layouts are really well done. I only have a few critiques, I would make both designs look more similar, both are very different which might be what you're going for, but it might be distracting for someone switching between the two. I would also choose just one navigation format for the website, either the hamburger menu or the search bar. Otherwise these look great!

Oh I like the skeuomorphic directions you went, Mike. You've got like a little application within an application thing going on here. Good idea!

You clearly had fun making these. I like the idea of the interface within an interface. Typographically, these work decently well. Your type is clean and readable. Your navigation is easy to see and use. Both layouts have a clearly delineated structure that is easy for the eye to follow. I like the overlapping semi-transparent triangles on your computer layout. They provide a nice background and add visual texture. You clearly had a good time selecting imager, both Bruce Lee on your computer layout and the baby Godzilla in your mobile layout bring a smile to my face.

I see very little in common between your mobile and computer layouts, they almost look like completely different designs rather than one design in two different formats. Also you have two many colors in both of them, which results in visual chaos across your designs. They would have been better off if you had picked a couple of colors and stuck with them. Your computer design has several tight margins, especially around your "Links" title and overall title. Alos, I don't think your mobile version needed it's text inside a pink box. I think the sticky note would have been a fine container.

Good effort!

Hey Mike!

Okay first off I HAVE TO FIRST acknowledge your usage of Bruce Lee and the Reptar in your layouts. Totally made me laugh out loud and made my morning. These layouts are both very fun, eye-catching and they bring a lot of energy to the viewer.

That said, I feel there is a lot going on - sometimes in a good way but overall, just way too much happening to where I get disoriented a bit figuring out what's what. The biggest problem I think is the colors - there are too many that kind of battle for attention with each other rather than compliment one another and giving a flow to your website as a whole. As a suggestion, I would try using https://coolors.co/ as a good place to experiment with some color combinations that you may like and go from there. There are also other color combo palette sites you can google out there and adobe also has a color palette selector as well.

If it were me, besides color, I would also try to condense your navigation down to just one (you have one up top with drop down icons and one at the bottom on the desktop) and the mobile doesn't seems to have one unless the "Links" is your drop down nav? Also, double check your specs with the project one specs as it's hard to tell which one is mobile and which one is the desktop (I am pretty sure the Bruce Lee is the desktop but both layouts seem long like a mobile rather than the desktop being wide but short and the mobile being skinny but long). Lastly, I would agree that there needs to be more cohesion with your desktop and mobile as they don't resemble the same site.

All in all though, great first effort here and plenty to build upon and improve on. I never stop playing with mine as you just never know what you may come up with when you continue experimenting with different elements, fonts, colors, image, and HUD organization. Your fun personality shines through your designs here and I look forward to seeing where you go with these for the final builds! :)

Hi Mike
Your website gives me a put-together yearbook vibe, and it's very different from all the other websites I've looked at so far.

Your web version seems to be kind of squished and busy with all the type, though, so maybe find a way to condense that and make it easier to read what exactly all of the type says.
I also couldn't find your name anywhere on the page.
The mobile version paragraph is even smaller, so there is no way to read that at all, but you can find your name easier on it.
The design is nice, but that is only one part of the website. It needs to work hand in hand with the page's content, much like music and visuals in a music video. Right now, at least to me, it seems like you are focusing on the design and ignoring the content on your page.

Hi Mike,
I like these, I would focus on one design and run with it though.

Hey Michael,

I really like the boldness and colors you went with! It's so fun and unique! I think it gives me early 2000 vibes. I also love your graphics and drawing because it creates so much personality. I also love Bruce Lee, I'm a big fan since I was little. I think you can make your fonts bigger and that'll make a huge difference. I still like it overall though.

Well you achieved your aim of being joltingly different--your designs command attention--the colors, the photo, the boxes, one big box with only a few of the spaces filled in. It's clearly a page that says, MORE TO COME. Yes, both designs, which appear to be entirely unrelated to each other, are worktables ready for input. There are no patterns, no expected parts, nothing you could look away from and recall completely, but still, like a comic book's BOOM, POW, BANG cells. Very attention-getting and also, rebellious! :- )

I am really digging on the cut and paste motif you have going on here. It's personal but eclectic. I also like that you will be listing a bunch of links promoting even more of a patchwork feel conceptually. Design-wise I was thinking that enlarging your title sections to distinguish them from the the rest of the subject matter could be a way to keep the patchwork feel but to help the user out when they navigate. Otherwise easily the most original site I have seen yet, good luck moving forward.

I think that these both look like very good designs, but they don't necessarily look the same. I feel the desktop and mobile version should resemble the same design just rearranged to fit the different layout. it doesn't look like they are the same webpage.
