Hi everyone! Here is my Project 2 final! https://www.grc175.com/student/spring-2 ... -eberhart/
I used the critiques from our prelim to make my website better and less cramped. I did struggle with coding this project because of little things like I wasn't sure what tag to put my logo in, because when I put it in the header my nav freaked out! Anyways, this was a lot of trial and error as I watched the lectures and tried to apply what Michael was doing to what I needed.

This looks really great! I love the layout and colors, everything works very well! For the logo you might just have had a margin and padding issue, but it looks great nonetheless!

Ericha, I am still in love with the dog, and now it looks even better than it did before. Such good work.
In the future, with the different projects, you might want to link it to something better than just a white page with some blue words, but besides that, it's great.

Great logo and overall design, the dog pic is priceless and gives a great vibe for the page. The only thing I might tinker with is the size of the links and fonts for readability could maybe be a bit bigger. Otherwise just a great layout.

Hey Ericha!

Fantastic job making your site come to life! You killed it with the placement of everything. First and foremost, that dog <3 I mean that by itself just wins lol.

But then your logo and type is so clean, simple and modern. Everything works so well together.

I honestly don't know what I could possibly critique except this is just excellently done. Keep up the great work! :)

Best,
Zach

Well, I'd say you learned well. What a lovely clean design you have here, Ericha.

This whole design is very harmonious. Every little piece works together well. You've done a fantastic job translating the good parts of your rough into a nicely functional website. It keeps the same kind of winter fresh vibe your rough had, but with better margins. This is a great example of proximity and grouping making content islands that are not too far apart. And, of course, there's your wonderful dog image. The pup looks so curious and content to be here. My eye is drawn to to the pic as soon as it loads. Your colors work just as well in the browser as they do in the rough. The gray green accent color adds enough color to keep visual interest, but it's a cool color so it keeps the chill vibe going on here. Nice job feeding in the custom font as well.

I think your navigation could use to be a size or two larger.

Great work!

Hi ericha
this is literally perfect this must have taken you so long! everything fits so well and is just like your project 1. i think it looks so nice and clean but maybe making some of the type a bit bigger would help it stand out more but its already looking so good.

Hey Ericha,
Great layout, I love the subtly of when the photo of your dog looks towards both your logo and paragraph on the top-right--amazing sense of direction! I do wish that the buttons were a bit larger so that they wouldn't be taken over by the massive scale of your dog photo, but nonetheless, your site is spectacular! Good job!
