My two references:
https://www.shopify.com/blog/best-website-design
https://weblium.com/blog/10-great-pink- ... -examples/
I found the first one useful because it shows a lot of variety and well-known businesses. It was a good inspirational starting place. The second one is geared towards my black/pink design because I wanted to see how other people used pink without it being overwhelming.
My two designs are below. For the top design, I wanted to play with a limited palette and I wanted it to look modern but a little edgy. I chose black and pink because I think they look very strong and interesting together. My other design is with a green and purple palette. I wanted this design to look more cute and earthy. I also wanted to incorporate little images.
I look forward to hearing feedback!

Hi Bella,
I think both layouts show who you are as a designer which always have fun colors and a natural organic look to it! I like how you added sparkles and flowers to your design which is always cute and fun! I think something that can help with your layouts would be using a thicker weight for your body text, it can help with legibility! Hope that helps, can't wait to see your work through out the semester! Good luck!

Hey Bella,
I really like both of your designs, they both have a lot of personality as to who you are as a designer! I am leaning more toward the first design, I really like the electric purple you chose it adds a lot of visual interest. Layout wise I think they could use some more structure, I think having your picture centered on the mobile app would help with some balance issues and the potential of it getting cut off when it's actually viewed on a phone. I like the use of your expressive type as well, however, it's hard to read when you use it as a body copy. Maybe try something simpler like Helvetica, Myriad Pro, or maybe Futura, but just for the body copy. But I think it's working well everywhere else!
I'm excited to see the end result, I really like your designs!

Hey Bella!
I really enjoy both layouts. The first one has that edgy look you were going for, and the typefaces you are using are very interesting to me. The green one is also visually pleasing, and I like the added details on the border of the site and the picture of you. Both of these layouts are working well, and I like the color choices. The font at the top of the first web design layout is very cool to me, I love the style.
If I had to offer any advice, I think you should play around with your colors a bit more. Right now, the colors feel a little dim/dull and I think making them a bit more vibrant would really help. Lastly, the current fonts for the about me section/project section are very thin, which looks nice as is, but you could also consider using a bit thicker font to clear up the minor legibility issues.
Either way, I love what you have going so far, and I can't wait to see your final. Good luck!

Hi Bella,
I love the colors schemes in your designs. The simplicity for your layout leaves you a lot of room to move things around and rearrange items as we start to add things to out sites. It think this will really come in handy down the line. I honestly would like to see a combo of the two designs! I love the black, pink and gray colors of the 1st design, but the shapes and simple line boards of the 2nd design are a little more appealing to me. Really fun stuff, can't wait to see how this all works in the end.

Color me a fan of your first design, Bella. I like the colors and contrast you've got going on there.
I concur with you. The black, gray, magenta, and white is a strong color scheme. It had kind of an evening urban vibe. It reminds me of one of those neon sign montages from a film noir movie where the hero is driving aimlessly through the city. It creates great contrast as well. I like your neon font you use in your name. It goes well with your chosen theme here. Interesting choice on your bodycopy as well. I'm not 100% sure about the bodycopy font, but it seems to be working for you here. Your whole layout is very clean, everything is easy to find. Great use of margins between all your objects. Lots of room to breathe for everything. The design has an interesting texture to it. I especially like the pattern pic you have behind your portrait. It adds a lot of visual interest.
I see you going for a bit of a distressed VHS effect with your title there. I think it would work better if you included some similar effects in the rest of your layout. As it is it clashes a bit with everything else you have going on. Also, I think you're using a font too many. I'd recommend taking out the script type and swapping in the neon type you use on your name for your title and navigation. I like that neon type. I'm also not sure you need the gray box behind your type. I'd see what it looks like without it and if your bodycopy is bold enough to stand on its own above the magenta river. On your mobile layout, I'd make sure your "Project 3" and "Project 4" buttons are on one line rather than two.
Good work!

Hi Bella!
I really like the personality of your designs! Both have rather bold color schemes which works really well! I'm leaning more towards your 1st design, as it caught my eye instantaneously. Your layouts work really well in both, but I especially like the colors/typefaces. I really like the typeface you used for your name, maybe finding something similar that's a little bolder/easier to read would help with legibility. Overall, love the vibe of your design! Can't wait to see your final

Hello Bella,
I prefer your first design. I like the colors that you used. They go together quite well. I like the neon lights font that you used for your name but it is a little hard to read. I think moving the instagram near the image and away from the projects would be good. Maybe consider adding a "Contact Me" in place of your email and putting instagram and email in there. Good job.

Hey Bella! I really like your second design. I might try changing the font or color type that you have for your paragraph because its a little hard to read but other than that nice job.

Hi Bella,
I'm loving both concepts! It's hard to pick, but I like the flowers on the second
layout. I would add more white, maybe in the sparkles and text. Overall, great job.!
