Project 01 Final Critique

Hey everyone!
Here are my final designs. I went with the black and white ones. I mostly cleaned things up on the desktop design and added a clean, readable sans serif font. I changed quite a bit with the mobile one, adding a hamburger menu and giving more space for the picture and body text.
I liked how clean and navigable both of these websites are. I want to go in that direction with my site.

Very clear and clean. Conveys professionality the font choice in the menu options reminds me of 2014 memes. I'm not sure if that's the intention or not but it looks a little fun.

Hello Taylor!
I'm glad you went with this layout. It is clean and professional; I love that you chose the rectangle shape for your picture. It gives a more cutting-edge design to your layout! The only suggestion I have is fixing the kerning between your words in the mobile layout. They seem far apart, and it makes the body less legible. Besides that, your layouts are astonishing, and I can't wait to see it running!

Hey Taylor, the black and white theme was a bold choice and I think you used it to your utmost advantage! The contrast of your name against the black and white background creates fun visual interest, and the site seems easy to navigate, wonderful job!

Look at this contrast king right here! You should be proud, Taylor.
The most visually striking part of your design is far and away your title. Passing through the floor of your header and up through the top of your content area, it serves to lock them together. Makes for a great visual texture. And did I mention the great use of contrast. It better have been good with it, you rolled the dice on an all black and white web page and came up sixes. Good choice on the sans serif typefaces all the way around. They serve well to highlight the clean, hard edged composition you have here. I like that you right aligned your bodycopy and aligned said right edge to the edge of the "D" in your name and the right edge of your nav. Speaking of your navigation, it's easy to find and, hypothetically, use. Everything is well placed in this layout. My eye has no trouble moving through it.
Your bodycopy seems a little bold. Your margins are tight all the way around on your mobile version and between the top of your TMCC logo and the top of your footer on your computer version.
Good work!

Hi Taylor!
I am jealous of your expertise in the use of black and white. The contrast is wonderful. Visually, super pleasing. Typeface is much improved. Awesome stuff!

Hi, Taylor
I love the way you used a black and white layout to give a lot of contrast to your design was a fantastic idea. I also like how you continued with the idea by using a black and white picture to stay on theme. overall your design looks really good. one suggestion that I do have is you might want to make more space and spread out certain aspects to have more of a visual hierarchy.
