Hi everyone! I know this is late, but here are my Project 03 preliminary designs. Both of my designs are based around the green color scheme of TMCC. For my first design, I wanted to focus on a mountain design; for the second, I wanted to incorporate the TMCC mascot. I think moving forward, other pages might have actual photographs along with the graphics.

Hi Breanna,
Your designs are very bright and cheery. Very cleanly done, readable and appealing. I like the designs with the mascot it seems to be a little more playful and alluring to the reader. I do however think you could spruce it up with a little more color variation.

Hello Breanna!
I think you already know images would bring this into the next level. Colors are easy on the eyes...but contrast is lacking a bit. add some darker colors and images this will look great!

Hi Breanna!
Your layouts are so cute!!!! I think both would work well. I really like your colors, but I like the colors on your first layout the most. I think that dark green adds a nice contrast that the 2nd layout is lacking. Both are adorable, and I'm excited to see which one you go with!!
Good luck!

Oh, I like your second one Brianna. I find the diagonal content area visually interesting and the peekaboo gecko amuses me.
I really like the use of the diagonal here. The eye either swings across your navigation and then is drug down, or focuses on the gecko and the is pulled up to your navigation. A strong layout decision. Everything is placed pretty well based one it. As I mentioned before, I like the use of the gecko to introduce whimsy. He puts a smile on my face. He's also the most dominant object by far in this composition due to his contrast, so he immediately draws the eye to whatever he is near. You could use him to draw the eye any number of places in your composition. I like your font choices, they seem to work pretty well together. Your navigation is well placed and should be easy to use.
I feel like the whole thing uses the green a little too much. TMCC's green is, at best, an accent color, in my opinion. Maybe try a gray or orange for the content area and have your type and nav bar in a dark gray or black. The whole thing could use a bump up in contrast. It all kind of fades together as is. Watch your padding on your type in the inner page. It's a little close to the edge of it's containers.
Not bad!

Hi Brianna,
I love how much work you put into these designs. I like the second design the most, I love how the mascot is peaking around the corner. I think the diagonal layout is more eye-catching and your composition looks great!

bre bre!!
I know I told you before but I love both of these!! I'm particularly fond of the first one but your little wizard is so cute. I'd maybe add more to your margins on your text boxes so it doesn't look so crowded!!

Honestly Breanna, I think both your roughs are awesome! I think both themes are really fitting, and i love all of the sharp angles. I think both of these themes are absolutly more visually exciting than what's currently on the website right now.
