Hello everyone,
I appreciate all for the critique it really helped out to view what was working and what wasn't. As for my final I decided to go with my first draft as most people were leaning towards it, but I also felt more gravitated to it as well. I kept everything fairly the same doing only minor adjustments. For instance, all of the type has satyed the same, as well as, the layout of the webs. However, after what I was getting told about complications with color schemes, I decided to still go along with what I've had in mind but added a more brighter schemes to it. I went ahead and aslo took the idea of adding a glow to my fonts, but only for those that would be interactable once it becomes an actual website.
I did not do much research than what I have done for the preliminary besides look up some color schemes, seeing what was complimentary to the red and black design. Can't wait to try and make this an actual web that you're able to interact with though I'm not ready to make it myself as it will be a new tool to learn.

Hey Gerardo,
I like how you’ve taken initiative to brighten the colors of the background. It’s a nice highlight to the design and catches the eye. The glow really has a mythical feel to it that pairs well with the dragon. I think it’d be interesting to add some bamboo to the mobile design as well, but what you have here is still visually appealing. Very clean design with the subtle changes.

Hi Gerardo,
I really like the rough you chose to finalize, and I think both your computer and mobile versions turned out great! I also love the red and black color palette you chose because it helps make the white text really stand out and draw into the attention of the viewer. One thing I'd suggest is to maximize the project tabs and the info about yourself on your mobile version so that it fills in more of that background space. But overall, I think your designs flow very well with the theme you chose, and that dragon in the background looks really cool too!

Hi Gerardo! I really love the contrast you have with the black and red color scheme and how you organized your about me section and project links! The folder tabs are very creative!! If I were to change anything, on your mobile version I would move the box with your project links/about me more upward so they viewer is aware that its there versus only seeing the home/resources links. Maybe you could move it or scale it up. Otherwise your final design turned out awesome! Great work!

This one's looking pretty nifty Gerardo. Love the atmospherics of it.
When I looks at this website, I feel like I'm eating in the back booth of a dimly lit Chinese restaurant. It's such a vibe. In fact, the tone and emotion of this website is it's real strength. You make great use of contrast to make what you deem important pop. I love the dragon texture/image. It immediately establishes tone. And your type reinforces it. I especially like your marker script titles, buttons, and bopdycopy. I have no trouble reading it (not always the case with script types) and it feels like it's been scribbled on the back wall of that Chinese restaurant. Your tab navigation buttons work well too. They draw the eye and feel like they'd be easy to use.
I don't know if you page title needed that glow. I think your bodycopy would benefit from a touch more line height. The text and image in your picture frame are a little tight. You may want to look at finding a higher resolution version of your dragon for your Project Two version of this website.
Nice work! What a cool vibe.

I am happy you went with this design. I like the artwork, and the red against the black is a cool contrast. Overall it does feel a wee bit dark, however I don think it’s bad, it’s obvious you are going for that. The folder logos are nice too, it draws your eye to the navigation points and it feels intuitive. I think on the mobile one, I would vertically flip the artwork and words, so you see the buttons before the artwork. It may make it read better. Overall, this looks really nice!

Hello Gerardo,
This design looks a lot brighter and more clear now that you added lighter elements to it. I like that you kept the black background still with the bright reds. If I could suggest one thing, maybe switch the placement of your "About me" and your name and email to bring more attention towards it. Also consider making your name bolder or even bigger to really draw your eye towards it.
Overall, this design is pretty cool! It's very stylized and flashy and makes for a very cool website, i'm excited to see the final version!

Hello Gerardo!
I really like the thematic choices you made with your design featuring the dragon with a bright red and dark gray/black color scheme which in all honestly is one of my favorite color schemes. Everything is very well rendered and eye-catching and it's all very easy to follow despite the dark background. I think the only thing I would change is making the project tabs a little bigger so that they are more noticeable and easy to find. This is a great design, nice job!
