I uploaded my website today ( http://grc175.com/student/spring_2012/c ... way_thomas ) and I'd like to know what you guys think... I'm pretty happy with it other than the low resolution tmcc logo, I plan on fixing that sometime this weekend. I think it could be a little more exciting but maybe I just feel that way because I have been looking at it for too long... But anyways I want real criticism, it won't hurt my feelings I swear! :3
ps thanks Chris for helping me with the ftp stuff
pps I went a little rollover image crazy, so let me know if it's not loading as fast as it should

Re: Project one ~
Over all you have done a great job Cheyanne, Great type choices, the script type goes well with your retro type. The only Improvements I would make both involve the logo. As you mentioned the logo was compressed a little much, If you are importing the logo from illustrator use the png 24 so that the anti aliased logo doesn't turn out like that. Also I would make a roll over similar to the navigation buttons and add a glow effect to the logo and link it to the tmcc home page.
Other wise you are doing a great job!

Yeah I wanted to make it glowy but I think it looks so bad because it's a gif. I'll definitely try doing a png instead n_n thanks
Re: Project one ~
it says you, totally...I don't think you did too much on the rollovers, they make sense within the design. Good Job! I feel so behind now, you both are kicking my butt in this class hahaha, gotta catch up!
As for anything to maybe add to the design, I was thinking that maybe a drop shadow or something behind your cityscape would help pop it out more? That way it screams cityscape and since everything has that iridescent feel maybe making the drop shadow sort of glow as well will help tie it all together.

It is neat-Oh!
It loaded fast for me.
I think your name in the left panel is a little crowded. I'd give it more space on the left and right.

I love the windows in the city at the bottom. Fun! I'm not sure about the rollover on your name. Don't thinks its necessary. Awesome job. I'm still struggling with mine but will keep plugging away.

I like the look of this page. The colors work well together, and I really like the windows on the buildings. I would like to see the windows link to something. I also was wondering how it would look if you gave the shapes a slight bit of dimension with drop shadows, bevels or something like that. Other than that, you've done a great job.

Re: Project one ~
welp I fixed the tmcc logo and everything is looking complete. My original idea was to make everything look flat kinda like paper cutouts but I kinda screwed myself over by making the moon glowy but anyways, I think I'll add drop shadows when I have time n_n thanks for the input, everyone!
Re: Project one ~
I like the choice in typography and color. I think you should scale down your name just a bit so there's more margin and breathing room from the container. Other than that, Good job. Nice browser title.

Good job i like the feel of it. On the projects the spacing of the projects links inside the circle looks odd. I would change the leading on them and bring them closer together. Other than that you did a good job.
