Hello Trisa,

I like the color scheme that you chose, a mono chromatic color system has become quite popular recently and you have done that well. I also like that the tree has broken out of its border making the composition as a whole dynamic.

The only Issue I see is that your size may be considered too big. It would display fine for anyone with a monitor size equal or greater than the iMacs resolution. My home computer which has a 22" screen wouldn't display it well. You may want to decrease the size to fit on a 1024x768 screen, which may seem small on the iMac but will display well for most resolutions.

But over all you are doing a great job!

A common width is between 900px to 1024. For mine I used 940px so I have some background space around the edges.

I like it! However personally I was wondering what playing with the size of your Name Logo would do, and maybe even overlapping it onto you image a bit. You have that overlapping theme going on and your name logo is So GOOD I feel its kinda just floating in the upper corner by itself, I almost want it integrated a bit more, make sense?

Otherwise I really like it! Good job!

Trisa, this is really nice looking. I agree that maybe your logo/name could be bigger. Maybe play with the sweeping "L" lining up with the way the tree sweeps down and to the right.

I also like the way the tree breaks out of the frame of the photo.

I like this design a lot. The biggest issue is the size, as mentioned before. Chris had the best suggestion on how to go about fixing that though. You have a good logo, so don't be afraid to scale it up. I think the leading on your navigation is too big and makes it fall apart, so try playing with that a bit for stronger proximity.

I'm not sure I agree with overlapping another element. I like the tree breaking out. Like the drop shadow on the tree frame. I agree your logo is very striking. So yes, maybe enlarging it would work.
I like the texture of the main window. I could see it showing up really well on a reddish background picture when Mike get's to that part of lecture.
I really like your design.
