Greetings, earthlings.

Let's see, I have been slowly but surely working my way through the GRC program for several years now. I have a degree in Journalism from UNR, which would be totally worthless except that I specialized in advertising (whew).
I worked for a small, startup web design firm that imploded right along with the dot com bust in 2000 (thanks for that trip down memory lane, Michael), and then I worked for a big software company in Los Angeles as an analyst and software trainer. That job paid well, but it slowly devoured a piece of my soul each day until I came to hate it. Eight years later and the recession hit, and I had my excuse to jump ship and be a full-time parent.
Now my kids are in school, and I'm preparing for my next career. This time I'm doing something I truly love.
I have waited a long time to take this class, and I'm eager to learn. I confess, I know nada about programming, but anything that has to do with design interests me greatly.
