Hello!

Post by donnalouwho »

Hi, my name is Donna and I am nearing my fourth year in the GRC program. Going back to school at a later age has proven to be both the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done. I have learned so much about myself. I currently work full time in the medical coding and billing field and have done so for 17 years. It is slowly but surely sucking the life out of me. ;) So, I'm very excited to be here, in this program, and using my creative brain. I have also discovered, through this process, my love of photography. I have done a few jobs here and there such as engagement sessions, senior photos, and portfolios. It is a true passion of mine. I am fortunate to have been introduced to photography and taught by the amazing instructors here, Dean Burton and Matt Theilen.
So, in closing :) - I am happy and excited to get this class started! It does freak me out a little bit (the programming part, definitely) but I trust it will all work out. Please... :)
Thanks!

Good. ;) I'd be worried if it didn't freak you out. As a fellow creative who had to pick up programming by necessity, it's still difficult and it still freaks me out, and I've been doing it for years. Don't worry, you'll pick it up. It's the non-programmers who aren't concerned about who worry me. They usually wind up struggling while those who worry buckle down and take it seriously.
