Hi CJ,

I like the layout on One and the color scheme on Two. I think your font choices are good, but the drop shadow on the "GRC 175" section is hard and jarring. I'd either bring it closer to the text, or keep the distance and blow it out and make it a softer shadow.

Your photo is sticking out because it's grayscale - I recommend making it a duotone or using full-color, but the gray isn't working because you don't have any other gray elements in your design.

Also, let your spell checker have a go at it. I saw a few typos here and there.

Nice work CJ. I like second`s color scheme and how you made your layout. I guess without text shadow, it would be better, also wanna see your image not black and white, but colored or in duotone of the page colorsheme (purple orange). But that`s me =)

Hello CJ
I really like the colors and layout on your second one. It just feels like it all clicks- I like the BW image…”I too look better in BW ;) ” (don’t we all). So I was thinking of things you could do to keep it that way and I was thinking of maybe using your color picker and using some more of those same tones in other little places to make an A symmetrical balance, like maybe add a border on the opposite corner, another image on the opposite corner…or you can take screen shot of your “project 2, and 3 ...when finished” and make them as buttons which would be made into BW…But I like where you are headed!

hey C.J. I like your color choices on these, they have good contrast and they attract. you might consider losing the drop shadows on the text or making the body text a little bolder. Also you have misspelled a couple words

Hey CJ,

I like the purple and orange color scheme, but the drop shadow isn't working for you. Try making it closer to the type for better readability.

C.J.,

I agree that the purple is the superior color scheme. I like the bold choice of colors. I would work on the contrast between the purple type and the purple background. Tinting or shading the type might help it stand out better against the background. I look forward to see the finished product.

Heya C.J.

On the first one, I really like the layout with your name at the top and the "about me" section and your picture following it. It flows better for me. The colors are okay (I just always think Christmas with those colors) and I really like how you have those white areas right around where your text is. Unfortunately, that's also a little hard for me to read, so maybe widen those white areas and make it one color on one color, versus a few different ones in that space. Also, the way your red boxes are set up right now seems like they're just kind of floating there. Maybe try putting a real border around them and see how you like that. I agree with everyone else to try a color picture instead of the black and white, but one other thing is try to fade the left side of it so it looks similar to the right, instead of having that obvious line cut-off.

On the second one, I do like the colors better and I like how you have that faint border between your links, but I think it might look neater if you try a real border. I might try rearranging this layout a little more too. Instead of having everything horizontal, maybe try having your links vertical under your picture, and then have all of your copy going down the right side of your page. That might make it easier to play around with the size of your links, so you don't have so much wasted space in the boxes where your project links are. Same suggestion about the picture from the first layout too.

Personally, I like the first one better!

Hi C.J.
Very cool designs. I'm leading more toward the second layout. I like the color scheme better then the first its not as bright. My suggests would be to tone down on the drop down shadowed. Also, I'm having a hard time finding a vocal point, maybe make your picture bigger and use the original colors so it can stand out. Also, try to rearrange somethings maybe putting your name on top of page and adding the GRC 175 text at the bottom of your name or page switch the links to the left. Other then that very good job.

Hello CJ! Very good concepts i tend to like the colors of your first draft. Those colors feel really vibrant. one suggestion for the first layout your contact info looks like is part of your body copy try to put in on he footer area for easier navegation.
