Hi Dylan - I think both of your concepts are solid, but I'm leaning toward the first set, where you have the transparent checkerboard pattern as a backdrop. I really enjoy the type in your GRC masthead and I think your pages have a nice sense of balance. I think any way that you can play up this idea of being inside the software will further your design as well.

The first one is my favorite. make sure you bring those textures over though. It wont look nearly as good without those backgrounds.

Totally loving the first one. The design is great. Colors are appealing, dynamic and feeling sorta young and contemporary, perfect for the project.

I want to like the second one more but I cant look at the green for more than like two minutes.

I am in love with your green layout! The GRC logo that you made is amazing! I double dog dare you to take it even further!!

Definitely the first one. The colors are so vibrant and contrast so nicely with that checkerboard background, and the little splatters are great. I'd like to see those colors in your content somewhere too, though, maybe as random accents in your copy or as rollover effects on your links.
