And,... here,... we.... go!

Some said the gear was bitmapped and that's because when I did make it with the pen tool, I then merged it with another layer, that then it lost the ability to resize without looking trashy, so I copied the original and expanded it to the size here. You're able to see that the center isn't round and its the shapes placed together. Perhaps some more refinements are needed down the road.

Added the TMCC logo created the the pen tool, increased the tint overall to the layout to not strain the eyes, and changed some text.

Hi Mark,

I love your homepage! The colors capture me immediately and I think your font is perfect for the design. I really like the balance of text and graphic. Simple design yet complex at the same time. I get a very calm feeling when looking at your design but also excited to see what the page holds. Well done.

Dave

I enjoy the gear design. It sets up a awesome area to put the tmcc logo. The only thing that might help your design might be changing the color of the tmcc logo and text that way it fits in with the rest of the design a little better.

Ooooh, a Joker quote. Things are proceeding according to plan!

Such a neat design. Excellent use of color and contrast throughout. The gear/color wheel is a great focal point and navigation device. But it doesn't overwhelm the type due to the high contrast black on white design. Even the jaggy font looks good with the design.

I'm not sold on the vertical TMCC logo or the crammed in "Web Design and Publishing I".

Great work though. A real eye grabber!

This looks really great I love the idea of gears looking like a color wheel. And the repeating image in different sizes is great. The only thing is I find my eye attracting to the TMCC logo the most I think its because it has a lighter grey/white color behind it maybe consider taking that color and putting a text box that color behind your paragraph so make it stands out more?

ooooh this looks better! The saturation was lowered so now it's not too hard on the eyes when trying to read the navigation.. Your type choice is good too and the color wheels aren't bitmapped anymored. Good work!

Very catchy design bro, nicely done. I like the how vibrant the colors make it, and the use of transparencies on the gears adds a lot to it. The only thing I would change is look a different font for your text, and fix your middle paragraph adjustment (the gaps). Good shit juice.

The changes you made from preliminary really enhance your design - the colors really stand out now.
I'm enjoying the deep space you've established through the use of scale and transparency. The font is a bold choice and I think it's working quite well with your design.

Perhaps you might consider moving Web Design and Publishing 1 down in the footer area? Maybe to the right to maintain balence.

Overall, very nice work!
