Hi Alexa!

Your layout looks good. Consider moving your text down a bit. Then you can make the bottom petals bigger if you want. Are the circles on the bottom going to be buttons or images? If they're going to be images, they could be a bit larger. Overall, it's very clean and a good representation of you.

Hi, Alexa!

I really like your concept, it's just so pretty! I do think that moving down your body copy substantially away from your headshot and flower would improve the spacing and flow of the page. Also, right now, the page still feels like it could use something else because it's a lot of pale blue. Consider perhaps adding some dark green grass blades (akin to the bottom of the flower stem) surrounding the flower and along the bottom of the page, it might improve the emptiness that I'm feeling because of all the blue. Also, I'm not sure if you intended those circles to be bubbles, but I do think it would be cool to vary the line width and weight on the stroke of them, perhaps adding a little shine. Also, what might add a bit more visual interest is having a couple of the petals falling off the flower, and placing some of your links there, I just had the idea it might help prevent monotony. Again, your page is lovely and a great representation of your personality, I'm sure :)

Alexa,
Looks good! If you are still playing with colors maybe use the colors from your top in the picture. I would move the paragraph about your self down a little more. Over all, very nice.

Hi Alexa,
Nice layout! I like the idea of your project links in the flower petals, nice touch! I like your font choice, and I think I have to agree with you on the color scheme, I would match the flower to the ones on your shirt and make the petals larger, maybe use a peach gradient going into white and keep the dark blue for your type. I would suggest to move your about me content down some and maybe make the font size a little bigger. Otherwise, Great job!

Hi Alexa,

Your final design looks very nice. I agree that the body copy could be positioned lower — by doing so, you could widen the paragraph frame to get rid of the widow. (now)

Hey Alexa,

This page fits your personality for sure! I love Justine's suggestions of adding grass to the bottom of the page, and adding the flower petals falling. You could put all of the TMCC info into the grass at the bottom. You could also try putting the same kinds of effects that are on your flower on the rest of your page to make the whole thing pop. Great job :D

Very cute layout! I like the detail you put into the flower, and that in your photo you're wearing a floral top, it shows some of your personality. Also, I think the circular accents are lovely. Aside from the suggestions already made, I definitely think you could add in more colors to further separate the various sections. Right now they all sort of get lost together, and a lot of elements seem like they're floating, adding in some complimentary colors will help ground in the design more and balance things out. But good job!

Alexa Hummel…good start to your home page. It's to the point and the navigation is easy to follow. I would, however, pick either links from the petals, or links at the bottom. Having two sets of links would seem confusing. Your missing class name and title and tmcc. And of course, be careful with spelling, designing was misspelled. I would maybe pick a color scheme to make things pop a little more

Hi Alexa,
I like that you brought up the flower I think you could bleed it off the edge and then you wouldn't need to repeat the bubbles you have at the bottom. I did notice you were missing the criteria of the TMCC info on your page as well. I think it is a very smart idea to use colors from your photograph, it incorporates your design better.
Good job.
