Hi Everyone

Post by NevadaCowgirl »

Hi my name is Amy.

I have been working on my degree since Fall 2012 when I started with Web Development. I then changed to Web Design in Graphic Communications in 2013. I have 1 semester left. Yay :D

I got started with designing websites when my Mom volunteered me to be the web master for Comstock Arabian Association. Since then, I have created websites for Silver Knolls Spurs 4-H Horse Club, Faith Lutheran Church and Miss Lizzies Table.

By taking Graphic Communication classes this has helped me with design, color and flow on each of the websites. I look forward to learning more to better everything I do with Web Design.

I am a Native Nevadan. I am a single parent of a wonderful 8 year old daughter named Skylar, who is in third grade. I have been raised around Arabian horses and love them for their attitude and willingness to please you. I rode on the Reno Rodeo Flag Team for 4 years. I had fun doing that but life threw a curve ball for me. I am currently an Assistant 4-H Horse Leader for Silver Knolls Spurs. I have been a leader for over 10 years and enjoy watching 5 - 19 years old grow and learn through out their 4-H career. I am know enjoying watching Skylar grow through 4-H in both cooking and horse.

Oh, there's nothing like learning web design by getting thrown in the deep end. It's how I learned it.

Welcome to GRC 175, Amy. I think you'll have a good time here and you'll be able to pick up the subject matter pretty quickly since you already have some experience with it. Feel free to ask questions of me and your fellow students. It will help speed the learning process and clarify the material for you. Enjoy your time here.

BTW, don't forget to put your name in your signature so that I might give proper credit in critiques.
