Project02: Final!

Post by Meghna_Misson »

Hi everyone,
Here's the site:
https://www.grc175.com/student/spring-2 ... na-misson/.

All of the buttons should be clickable and will redirect you to a new page! (P.S. Click on the Instagram icon and TMCC logo ;) ). Hopefull it works!

Hey Meghna,

Your coded site turned out great. I like how you pulled from the background image to get the link rollover color. The all-white text really lets the image shine and gives the overall design a clean, unified look, that still has a lot of character due to the textural background and the use of fonts. I think you could make the body copy have a bit more of a left margin to line it up with the contact info at the bottom and the M in your first name there at the top. I like that the projects drop-down menu sits horizontally. It does hover a little underneath the actual projects button; is this intentional? It is fully functional, so its probably not an issue. Overall, you did a great job on this project.

I am really having a hard time finding anything to pick at with this design, everything works and is laid out as your designed it. outstanding! If I had to poke at anything I guess I would mention that the tmcc logo and the grc175 footer is kinda floating all by itself and maybe be anchored to the bottom of the page, but I am just being picky at this point. Awesome job.

Hi Meghna!

Wow! This looks fantastic! Everything looks exactly as how I remember it from your project one concept. Your design urban aesthetic here with the hot pink hover animations to go with your layout color palette is perfection. Great job on brings this all to life!

Oh and since we are supposed to offer constructive criticism, the ONLY thing I would adjust when you have time is the width of the site - I have to scroll over just a tad to see the rest of the nav up top. But other than that, fantastic job. Keep up the great work! :)

Best,
Zach

haha I love the sonic hedgehog that you have for you project links, I think that's super neat that you did that. I also really like how you linked your Instagram, that was a nice touch. the overall look and functionality of your site is so good it makes me jealous. I wish this stuff made sense to me. I think you did exactly what you set out to do, based off of your prelim the page looks identical. I feel like you didn't have to simply your design to code it which is something I've had to do, hence the jealousy lol. nice job!

Aw yeah! This thing's looking good, Meghna.

You've done a great job turning your concept into a real webpage. That main image is just so strong. I love the color and detail in it. Very eye catching. Your header and footer are doing an excellent job framing it, too. Great use of transparency, especially on the header. And really good margins throughout. Nothing feels crowded to my eye. I find your tiny dropdown super amusing. Don't get me wrong, it works, but the two tiny buttons inside the width of one button cracks me up. Good type choices as well. Every piece of type is the perfect weight. I have no trouble seeing or reading any of it. I like the way you use different grays/whites to establish typographic hierarcy as well.

I think your contact could have been scooted over a touch so that it had the same left edge as your bodycopy. Your TMCC logo could have been moved to the right a touch to do the same with the right edge.

Great work!

Hi Meghna
This is amazing i love how much time you put into it to get the drop-down menu working and how much detail there is and how everything looks so good overall working together. I also had the same problems with some of the sizing so you have to scroll across the page a bit but overall it is so great!
