Project 1 Preliminary

Hello everyone!
For my website roughs I wanted to create a more traditional website layout and then a more creative one. I'm really not sure which one I like more. I am not attached to any of the colors or font so when I go to clean it up those will most likely change. Also if I were to choose the paper design I am thinking about making my picture into the actual sticky note instead of just on top! (Also these are screenshots that's why the quality is so bad)
For my 2 websites I chose:

I chose the first one because I feel like it is a great representation of a personal website where you show yourself off. It is very professional and keeps you engaged.
I chose the second one because it has a more creative feel. I like that when you first visit the webpage you can scroll through so of the persons work. I also really like how colorful and vibrant it is.

The second design, concept, layout and everything is outstanding!
Such a simple concept of sticky notes and paper but it's perfectly executed!

I would even imagine a simple animation with the design just to make one of those educational paper backgrounds haha.

I love both designs the second one is really cool , Is that your drawing in the back ? Awesome touch either way , the sticky notes one is playful I would maybe add some doodles to the back just to show some more personality to show your love for cartooning , but overall well done look forward to seeing more !

Hi Kendra,
I like the personal touches you’ve added to your designs, such as the drawing and the notebook design. The cohesiveness in the shoe layout looks great. For the notebook, I would suggest maybe adding the same amount of holes to either the desktop or mobile design for continuity. Great variety of designs for your website!

Hi Kendra,
I really like the creative direction you decided to go with on your homepage designs, especially your design that mimics a notebook and notepad. I definitely think you did a great job in the navigation of both designs, and think your simple colors in the paper design works really well. That being said, I think the bright purple color you chose for your other layouts stands out a little too much because of the grey color in the background, so I'd suggest maybe playing around with a more muted tone or darker color. But overall, I really think both of your designs were pretty successful!

I really like your designs! Especially the second one, I love how the drawing encapsulates the entire screen it really gives it a good personal touch! The first design is also pretty interesting, I like the color choices you used paired with the font, It gives a cartoony look and suggests maybe you are bubbly and upbeat!
If I could think of anything to suggest you could improve I would only suggest making the typeface bigger in your introduction to draw more focus on it.
Overall you did a great job!

Hi Kendra, I really liked both of your designs. Especially the second one! I'd suggest maybe trying to add more color to the text boxes since the background image is very monochrome.

I really like the idea of using the sketch as the background, but I really like the colors and simplicity of the first one. It is simpler and easier to navigate with the eye. The colors also make the words pop out. The organization is also more intuitive in the first one. I think that first one looks really good and I can’t wait to see it in full working order!

Hi Kendra! Your first design is much more inviting and fun to look at, I love the traditional notebook look that you went with! I think my only issue is that in the pink sticky note, the type feels a little to tight in it , especially in comparison to the stick note next to it which has a lot of space around your photo.

Hello Kendra! You've created really playful concepts which is really cool and fun! The way the colors are your first design stand out and how you set up your buttons is really lovely. I only feel like the mobile version is a tiny bit cramp but is a super easy fix. You perfectly showed what you were going for and it works! The second design is super cool with the shoe artwork in the background, its very simple but in a way its calming and doesn't loose your attention.
