Denise Jones, M.F.A.

Denise Jones, Professor of Art, received her M.F.A. degree from the University of Georgia. While an undergraduate, Jones traveled to Italy; it was in Tuscany that she began to create sculpture. In 2005, she returned as a faculty member teaching sculpture in the studies abroad program during the summer semester.

She has received grants and awards as an individual artist and for teaching and research excellence. Research using three-dimensional modeling programs and 3-d printing has lead to new possibilities for her students as well as in her own work. Professor Jones serves as the Chairperson for the Department of Art and Design, and has taught full-time at TMCC for 15 wonderful years.
