Visiting Artist
Once a month, an emerging or well known artist working in any medium presents his or her work to the public and conducts a site visit in order to propose a more substantial project for the future.
Fellow
An artist who produces a new, large-scale, on site project funded by the Center, selected from proposals submitted by the previous year's visiting artists. These initiatives may vary in medium and both take advantage of and contribute to the unique intellectual and technical resources at MIT. Fellows recieve curatorial, administrative, and production assistance from the Center's staff.
Senior Fellow
An established artist to qualify for a mentor-ship position who recieves a studio, a stipend, and access to undergraduate assistants. Continuing his or her work in an atmosphere of artistic research and resource sharing, the senior fellow is asked to act as an informal advisor both to graduate affiliates and to the Center itself.
