Biography of a Giant
Michael Ganschow-Green is currently a GRC web-design instructor at Truckee Meadows Community College.
No is certain about his earliest life . As a toddler, he was found roaming the hills of Romania, half-wild and with no memory of how he got there or who he was. Since no one would claim him, he was put into an orphanage and named Michael. Not liking to be regulated, he would escape and be brought back on a regular basis. The orphange, finally fed up with him, shipped him here to America with the hopes that someone would be able to tame him.
While running wild on the streets of New York, he ran head first into Mr. Ganschow, who would prove to be the one person who could, to some degree, civilize him. Mr. Ganschow, as a professor of computer technology and design, human nature, and interested in everything, took Michael under his wing and showed him how fun learning really is. Then went about finding out all he could about Michael's past. After months of searching, he found Hagrid Green, Michael's uncle, teaching in a remote area of England. The resemblance was uncanny. They had the same large build, facial features, wild hair, and fun-loving, easy-going manner. Unfortunately, Hagrid had no room to take Michael in and asked him to stay with Mr. Ganschow.
After returning home to America, Mr. Ganschow adopted Michael as his son. The name Green was added so Michael would never forget the other part of his family. He passed so much of his love of computer technology and design on to Michael, that Michael decided to become a teacher and pass his excitment and knowledge along. Although...he still doesn't like being regulated.
Here's to Mr. Michael Ganschow-Green...A giant of a man with big hair, big voice, big heart, and the patience of a saint.
