TRAINING AND LICENSES

Sport Pilot License

A less expensive way to fly, this certificate requires fewer hours of training (20) than either the private pilot or the recreational pilot certificate, and sport pilots enjoy many of the same privileges as private pilots. The certificate does, however, come with limitations. Sport pilots may only fly smaller, slower one- or two-seat aircraft classified as light sport aircraft; during good weather; and not at night. This license may be right for you if you plan to fly recreationally and don’t plan on taking more than one passenger with you.

Private Pilot License

A private pilot certificate is like a driver's license. It allows you to fly almost anywhere in the United States and even outside the United States when you comply with regulations of the foreign country where the aircraft is operated. You can carry any number of passengers, and you can share certain operating expenses with your passengers. One restriction to a private pilot's freedom of flight comes from Mother Nature—the weather. You can fly in some weather conditions but not others, at least without additional instrument training.

Instrument Rating

This is the qualifications that a pilot must have in order to fly under instrument flight rules (IFR). It requires additional training and instruction beyond what is required for a private pilot certificate or commercial pilot certificate, including rules and procedures specific to instrument flying, additional instruction in meteorology, and more intensive training in flight solely by reference to instruments. Allowing a pilot to fly in more dangerous weather and in conditions causeing decressed visablity.

Multi-Engine Rating

A Multi-Engine Land (MEL) rating allows a pilot to operate as pilot-in-command of an aircraft with more than one engine. Multi-Engine rated pilots will experience the remarkable improvement in aircraft performance capability along with an increase in speed, power, and rate of climb. Managing the complexity and workload of a multi-engine aircraft is both exhilarating and rewarding.

Commercial License

So you want to get paid to fly? Achieving Commercial Pilot certification is the ticket to finally being able to receive compensation as a pilot. This certificate opens the doors to a wide variety of personally and financially rewarding flying opportunities. Commercial pilots are able to fly passengers for hire, transport cargo, or pursue a career as a flight instructor, charter pilot, airline pilot and much much more. The sky is the limit!

CFI License

A flight instructor is a person who teaches others to fly aircraft. Specific privileges granted to holders of a flight instructor qualification vary from country to country, but very generally, a flight instructor serves to enhance or evaluate the knowledge and skill level of an aviator in pursuit of a higher pilot's license, certificate or rating. We specialize in taking a pilots dreams as high as possible, if you want to train others to fly, we can train you to do that.
