
Motion Graphics (AAS)
The Associate of Applied Science, Graphic Communications,
offers classes that lead to the completion of a
professional, industry-based AAS degree. The Motion Graphics
Emphasis develops design skills and knowledge in areas of
motion and time-based media, including storyboarding, video
production, sound, traditional and 2D animation techniques,
and 3D animation. Instruction includes the use of industry
standard graphics software, and program computer labs are
equipped with the latest Apple computers with support
scanners, printers, a sound recording facility and a
complete prepress/print shop facility.

Graphic Arts (AA)
The Associate of Arts, Graphic Arts & Media Technology,
Graphic Design Emphasis offers classes that lead to transfer
to a four-year institution. Instruction includes the use of
industry standard graphics software, and GAMT computer labs
are equipped with the latest Apple computers with support
scanners, printers, a sound recording facility and a
complete prepress/print shop facility.

Motion Graphics (AA)
The Associate of Arts, Graphic Arts & Media Technology,
offers classes that lead to transfer to a four-year
institution, or entry into TMCC’s Advanced Certificate
program. The Motion Graphics Emphasis develops skills and
knowledge in areas of design and time-based media, including
storyboarding, video production, sound, 2D animation
techniques, and 3D animation. Instruction includes the use
of industry standard graphics software, and program computer
labs are equipped with the latest Apple computers with
support scanners, printers, a sound recording facility, and
a stop-motion animation lab.

Graphic Arts (AAS)
The Associate of Applied Science, Graphic Communications,
offers classes that lead to the completion of a

problem solving, research and design thinking, design
history, typography and layout using technologies for a
variety of print and screen-based media. Instruction
includes the use of industry standard graphics software, and
program computer labs are equipped with the latest Apple
computers with support scanners, printers, a sound recording
facility and a complete prepress/print shop facility.

Certificate of Achievement
The Certificate of Achievement, Graphic Communications
prepares students for jobs in areas of graphic
communications. This includes graphic design, advertising
design, web design, videography, and motion graphics. The
program instructs in both theory and application on the
latest print and display-based graphics software. GRC
certificates are for students who may have a degree or have
industry experience and are looking for certification in
their field.

Advanced Certificate
The Advanced Certificate, Graphic Arts & Media Technology,
offers advanced classes that further develop skills for
employment, and serves as the third year of an on-site
four-year 3+1 degree program. The program instructs in both
theory and application of graphic design for print,
display-based, and time-based media, including current
graphics software and technologies. Students completing the
Advanced Certificate will be eligible to enter the fourth
year of a Bachelor of Arts program.
