Regular Events

Our events are usually held on Second Saturday of each month at the Sports West Athletic Club at 1575 South Virginia, on the corner of Virginia Street and Mount Rose St. (not Mount Rose Highway). Lessons begin at 7 p.m. and run till 8 p.m. Beginning lessons are free, and intermediate lessons are $5 for members and $10 for guests. Open dancing goes from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. and is $7 for members (of any swing dance club) and $10 for guests.

We play about 80% West Coast Swing Music with a balance of Classic and New, and 20% other music, such as Cha Cha, Night Club 2-Step, Hustle, Country 2-Step, etc.

We need volunteers to help setup for our monthly dances. We need you to arrive at 6:30 PM. We need help to wipe down and move chairs from the trailer to the dance floor. We also need everyone to help clean up the garbage at the end of the dance, and move chairs and tables back out to the trailer. Thank you for being considerate members of the club.
